*Gasp* I WANT THAT FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I'm turning the big 2 at the end of March, and I'm on the lookout for cool stuff that is "Sadie-approved". Mom wants to give her two cents, but really, it's MY birthday. Here's my big three:
This is a Baby Blackberry. Nana uses her Blackberry all the time, and I pretend Daddy's travel alarm clock is mine. But this is way cooler. And I learn my alphabet a little better. You can read more about it here. Unfortunately, it may not be out until Summer. But this is so cool, I'll take the raincheck and put my name on a waiting list.

I love Little Missmatched! Mommy says she hates wearing boring stuff to work because she has to look "professional". So, I figure, if I have to look "professional" someday, I might as well have fun now while I'm a kid and can get away with it. At my age, missmatching is "adorable". And everyone knows I love Sesame Street. I can't get enough of Abby Cadabby. Elmo is pretty cool too. Anything you buy at the Sesame Street Workshop helps support programs for little kids like me in other countries. And I think that is really, really cool.

I've been practicing my drawing skills...

... and I sometimes miss the paper and draw on myself. I also like to eat my crayons. They are such yummy colors, I thought they would taste as good as they look. They don't.

But I thought this shirt might help when I'm doing my artsy stuff so Daddy doesn't have to do laundry as often. He doesn't like doing laundry. You can get it here.

I'm exploring different career paths...

Some days I want to be a politician, 'cause I'm a people person. Other days, I like the idea of going into real estate. It's the family business. But then I have moments where I think, "I love books!" I do. I love Curious George, Dr. Seuss, and I occassionally find a new, up and coming author that I like to promote.

So, Mommy said that I should talk to Miss Melinda Jane (aka. Mrs. Tomerlin) about becoming a librarian. Mrs. Tomerlin works with books every day at a museum library. She's always learning something new and she's surrounded by books all day. I like the idea of that.

Awww... man...

I'm too big for this outfit! It only goes up to sizes 9-12 months... But if Santa needed a few little helpers, I'm there. Even if I don't get to wear this outfit. Maybe I could just pull out my Leprechaun outfit.... it's in Christmas colors.

Mommy has this rule...

...that I don't need "princess" stuff. Her thinking is that if boys get to be cowboys and astronauts, that they can actually BE those things someday. I will never technically be a princess unless I marry a prince. And even then, what do princesses actually DO all day? It sounds kinda boring. Snow White takes care of 7 short guys. And Sleeping Beauty slept all day. And most of them just play around with animals in a forest. Beauty had to hang out with a Beast with a bad temper, but at least she had a really cool library to distract her from him being a jerk. But I digress....

She wasn't sure how she was going to handle the "Barbie" issue. I don't know who Barbie is, but she's alright, I guess. But Mommy said she was worried that I might only care about my looks rather than the brain in my head. I'm a thinkin' kind of kid. Then she found these.... This is Space Camp Barbie. Mommy said there was an Astronaut Barbie when she was a kid. And she even had a Business Barbie who had a briefcase and everything (including uncomfortable high heels). But because of this Space Camp Barbie, she said she's reconsidering her Barbie views. Right now I could care less. My favorite thing to do is watch Elmo on YouTube. And play with my pretend cell phone and sing certain parts of the Alphabet song. And dance. I really like dancing.

It's all about the Benjamins, Baby...

I like shoes. But to get shoes, I need the cash. I'm starting to understand this. Toys cost money too. Grandpa and Nainie are really good at teaching me about this kind of stuff. Nainie is an accountant, which means she counts money for a living. They also thought I should understand the stock market. So, they got me My First Stock for Christmas, which is hanging near my basket with my Huggies pull-ups. Yeah, I own a bit of Disney. I'm savvy like that.

But then I came across this... The Munny Journey. I thought it was pretty cool. I'm just learning how to count, but my parents should understand how this money thing works if I'm going to go to college. I wonder if people on Capitol Hill and Wall Street have Munny Journals. I think they should get one, cuz' word in Toddlerville is that they aren't doing a very good job with their Benjamins.

This is Richard Scarry's Biggest Word Book Ever!!!! Y'all know I love books. But, wow! That's awesome. I HAVE to write to Santa about this book. I wonder if he knew about this. I don't even know if it will fit in his sleigh... Oh... and you can get it here... or at Barnes and Noble. This is going on the top of my "Dear Santa" list. Is it too early for a "Dear Santa" list? I don't want Santa to think I'm greedy. That would be rude. By the way... my favorite words right now are "baby", "buh-bye" and "bobo" (which is my expression for the ever-so-entertaining belly button.)

Yoga is good for you!!!

I'm a big fan of doing a little yoga before bedtime. I do a Downward Facing Sadie, and breathe a little. It calms me after a very hectic day of teething, looking at books, and playing with Owl. You'll meet my friend Owl later... but she's great! But she only wants to hang out at night. By then, I'm a little tired. If you like yoga too, you might like this book: My Daddy is a Pretzel.

My Daddy is NOT a pretzel. Mommy said she tried to teach him a little before I was born, but she giggled when he tried it, and now he doesn't want to do it anymore. Maybe I can convince him to do some yoga with me instead. I promise not to giggle.

Oooooh... I want that for Christmas!

I see a lot of pictures of Uncle Eric in a desert with other people dressed like him. I want to look like a sassy soldier too. I think I have the loud voice like Drill Sargeant, but I didn't think they would make anything in my size. Well... look what I found at TuttiBella.com! And it's in my size!!!

I wonder if I can find boots to go with it. But I don't want to wear it in a desert... I have really sensitive skin.

And you know what? I miss my Uncle Eric. I think he would like my elephant jokes. *sniff*

I'm a maniac, maniac on the floor....

... and I'm dancin' like I've never danced before. Okay, I'm not dancing yet, but I'm crawling around A LOT. So, I nudged Mommy while she was online shopping and pointed to these baby leg warmers. I'm tired of getting rug burn, and quite frankly, it's been chilly here in Maryland. But I'm torn between the really awesome pirate pink skulls ones, or the neapolitan ones... which look really yummy. They are now available at Target.com or you can look at all of them here at their website for BabyLegs... hey, they've got argyle! I like argyle.

... and now I want one from Sassy Onesies. Dad says that I'll like golf when I have a chance to try it out. He said that he hopes that I'll take after him instead of Uncle Bryce and Uncle Eric. Sometimes they hit houses when they golf.

Anyway, Sam Woods will probably have the best pink golf clubs... I think she's one to watch.

My Mama's for Obama!

I can't vote for another 17 years or so. They don't let babies have the vote... yet. But Dad keeps bugging Mom about who she's going to vote for tonight. The thing is, when they were registering to vote, Dad signed up to be a Republican. Then Mom signed up to be a Democrat in case she needed to cancel out his vote.



I'm an Independent.



Anyway, Dad wanted to know who she was going to vote for, which really isn't anybody's business. But the more she thought about it (and we talked about it a lot while she was trying to put me to bed) the more she kinda liked Obama. But then she felt bad 'cause she wants me to know that if I wanna be President of the United States someday, that I can do that.
So, she made it really clear that even though she's voting for Obama... she hopes there's a woman in the White House someday.

I try to be a trendsetter...

I've got a thing with socks... I have my Mary Jane socks, my Sneaker socks and my Golfing socks. But usually, I like having only one sock on at a time. It's fun pulling one of them off and hiding it from Mom.

Hey... I just noticed they have Argyle socks! Awesome!

Oh, and I know my hair looks really red in this picture. Sometimes it's blondish, sometimes it's red. I think it was the lighting that made it look this red. And I'm also aware I still don't have a lot of hair yet. But it's just so you can pay attention to my blue marble-like eyes. Winky winky!

People are asking me what I want for my birthday...

... I don't know why. Everybody gave me stuff for Christmas too. Do I get stuff just for being me? That's kinda awesome. If we're talking about it... I like this t-shirt. You can get it here. It comes in my size... and I've decided I want to be a wizard when I grow up. It sounds like fun.

People tell me all the time how much they love my socks...

I have socks that look like little mary janes, and sneakers, and my new ones are little golf shoes. But I think Pretty Lady thinks these are awesome! They are 9 socks and none of them matched. When she found them at Little Miss Matched, she yelled, "This would be awesome when I'm doing Sadie's laundry!" I just think they are really cute.

How we are going to pay for college...

It was Mom's idea. If I had a credit card, I would buy this onesie from Wry Baby, but they don't let babies have credit cards.
