I've been branching out with my artwork...

... and experimenting. Around Thanksgiving I was inspired by the Gobble, Gobbleness of the season. So I call this painting: "Turkey."

.... and I love the lovely, yet stalker-like poem, "Mary Had a Little Lamb". This is my interpretation. It is hanging near "Rose Petals" in the Smithsonian (aka, Mommy's cube at work.)

Leonardo DaVinci vs. Jackson Pollock

Daddy had a "Parent / Teacher Conference" with Miss Amy today. It was their first one. I guess that it is the formal term for Daddy and Amy talkin' about me behind my back. Miss Amy said that I was doing great and sitting longer in "Circle Time" - my feet want to dance sometimes. I communicate well with my peers (Lucie and Jacob are really nice.) But she also said that I don't like to get dirty during fingerpaint time.

She's right. I don't.

Daddy said that was okay. I am more of a Leonardo DaVinci painter than a Jackson Pollock painter. I prefer working with brushes rather than fingers. Here's one of my first experimentations. I call this "Rose Petals". It is currently hanging in my Mommy's cube in the Smithsonian. That's right... the Smithsonian. I aim high.

I've visited my new preschool...

...and I'll be starting next fall. I'm really excited! Eventually, I think school will be like this.

This is Doozer School and this picture is from a 1984 Fraggle Rock calendar. The illustrations are by a guy named Bruce McNally. That means this is a really old picture. My mommy was 8 years old when this came out. See? Old.

I think Doozers are totally cool.

Mommy and Daddy keep talking about "Preschool"...

Next fall, I'm going with a bunch of other 2 year olds where I'm supposed to learn stuff. It'll be on Thursday and Friday mornings. If it's anything like Storytime, I'm lookin' forward to it. But then, when I'm done learning stuff at all the "Preschools" -- then I go off into the big league.

Kindergarten.

This is how I imagine it:

Luckily, there was an artist who had the same idea of what Kindergarten looks like. His name is Philip Straub, and you can see more of his work here.

I also heard Mommy and Daddy talking about possibly moving into a bigger house in the future. All three of us have a lot of books and not a lot of room. I also like having toys, and they take up even more room. So, here's my dream house:

My room is in the carrot.

You could have named me WHAT????

Dear Mommy and Daddy,
Thank you for not naming some bizarre, wacky name that would be embarrassing for the teacher to say in Kindergarten (which I am looking forward to attending.) I am now learning that you could have picked ANY name you wanted. That's a big responsibility for you two. You could have named Dawbrickashawna if you wanted... or that Seamus McBagpipes name. Yeah, I heard you. I was in Mommy's tummy, not the moon. So, I guess I should say thank you for naming me a classy name. By the way.... I feel bad for these celebrity kids. What was in their Kool-Aid? My guess is Moxie CrimeFighter might be the hall monitor, but there is no WAY that Bluebell Madonna is going to be my Class President.

Love,
Sadiebug (Aka Sadie Angelica)

Clementine Jane (Ethan Hawke and Ryan Shawhughes) Knox Leon (Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt) Sunday Rose (Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban) Apple (Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow) Moxie CrimeFighter (Magician Penn Jillette) Hopper (Sean Penn and Robin Wright) Pilot Inspektor (Jason Lee and Beth Riesgraf) Sosie (Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick) Destry (Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw) Aurelius Cy (Elle Macpherson) Kal-El Coppola (Nicolas Cage) Bluebell Madonna (Spice Girl Geri Halliwell) Audio Science (Actress Shannyn Sossamon) Sage Moonblood (Sylvester Stallone) Tallulah (Bruce Willis and Demi Moore) Kyd (David Duchovny and Tea Leoni)
