I know y'all don't think I actually do the blogging...

... but I do. Here's proof. This is me on Christmas Eve in my jammies. I was looking up stuff on YouTube, and I ended up posting Kermit singing from the A Muppet Christmas Carol. I didn't want to bug Mom and Dad, so I used the headphones.

People are asking me what I want for my birthday...

... I don't know why. Everybody gave me stuff for Christmas too. Do I get stuff just for being me? That's kinda awesome. If we're talking about it... I like this t-shirt. You can get it here. It comes in my size... and I've decided I want to be a wizard when I grow up. It sounds like fun.

You can get more stuff like this here.

When I'm teething nobody sleeps well...

Mom and Dad really don't like it when I have a tooth coming in because I can't sleep. Believe me, I'm much more uncomfortable. But when I do get to sleep my Sleepy Bear crawls up next to me and keeps me company. Sleepy is a nice bear. But he sleeps A LOT.

I like to be different...

... so I use my pacifer in a unique way. I've said it before... I'm not a binkie fan. But when I'm teething, I chew on whatever I can get my hands on. Sometimes, I just shove it in my mouth like this.

Okay, now I like baths...

... but I don't like getting out of them.

It's cold.

Pretty Lady and I were watching American Idol...

Actually, I took the control from her and started flipping through channels, trying to find Sesame Street. I really like Abby Cadabby.

But I've never seen American Idol since I'm kinda new here. So we sat down together to watch people audition. Some people sounded really pretty. Some people... not so much.

And I thought, "I could do that."

My ears perked up, and I thought, "Yeah, I can sing!" So I wanted Pretty Lady to listen to me for my "audition".

So, I started singing "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson

And I put my hand up as a microphone and just belted it out as best as I could.

Well, as LOUD as I could... actually. I tried to put a lot of soul into it too.

I quickly knew my outloud voice wasn't the one in my head.

And Pretty Lady looked at me and said, "Wow. Um, that was.... Powerful!"

But I knew what she was really saying...

...Puh-leeze.

My Camel Adventure...written by: Sadie the Future World Traveler

There's this holiday store in Hunt Valley that Daddy wanted us to go and see during the Christmas season about a month ago. He said they usually take care of Santa's reindeer right before the big night. But I guess Santa found another reindeer-sitter, because this year they had camels! I couldn't believe it when my mom said she had ridden one before in some place called Egypt.

So, Mom and Dad took me to meet Alice the Camel. She only has one hump. We got to get up close and talk to Alice. I wanted to introduce myself.

I looked around, and I think a camel made an oopsie.

I make oopsies a lot. But I guess they don't make camel-size diapers with leak protection. Luckily, they make them for babies. And I'm thankful for that.

I thought it would be neat to meet a camel...

Mommy held me while I looked at Alice. I thought it was cool they wrote a song about her. She has 2 humps, and then she has 1 hump. And people say, "Go, Alice, Go!"

I think Alice was trying to say hello...

But she looked at me with her big brown eyes... and well...

Alice was big. And I was small.

She kinda freaked me out. But for the most part... I like camels. They're cool looking. But I think it's a good idea to sit very still when they are around.

Maybe next year I'll meet Comet, or maybe Cupid.

I feel yucky.

First Dad got sick, then Mom, then me, and now Poppy. We all got this 24 hour stomach bug, but mine is lasting a little longer than theirs. After I went to the doctor yesterday, and played with his stethoscope for a bit, we went to Rite-Aid and got some Pedialyte. I've been drinking that with some formula or water. But mostly, I need cuddles. Lots of cuddles. Mom said I haven't sat still like this since I was a newborn. But now I'm bored. So I found this picture online and thought it was funny.

Froggies are funny.

Dr. Sherri said I'm big and healthy! Yaaayy!!!

I went to see Dr. Sherri today, and I found out I'm 20 lbs.! No wonder Mom and Dad are tired!

I'm also 30 inches long. I'm in the 90th percentile for height and head circum- whatever. AND I can easily pull myself up in my pack n' play. This means I'll be walking soon. I'm having fun just standing up. I do it whenever I can, especially in my crib when I should be sleeping. But then I scare Mom and Dad because I don't know how to get down, and I fall and bonk my head. It doesn't hurt that bad, but it scares the livin' bajeezus out my parents.

I also got one shot today. That wasn't fun. But it was better than last time. I heard Dr. Sherri say the next one really won't be fun because they have to take some blood. I don't know what blood is, or how they are going to take it from me... but it doesn't sound like something I'm going to enjoy. But that isn't until my 12 month check-up. So I'm not going to worry about it now.
Oh! And I forgot to mention... I have 6 teeth!!! 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom. But I still don't like this whole teething thing. It makes me all crazy with the poops.

That might have been too much information. Sorry.

Another photo essay: My Helicopter Adventure with Uncle Bryce

That's me and my Uncle Bryce. He lives in Cleveland, so we don't get to play together very often. But when I saw him at Christmas, he asked if I wanted to play the helicopter game. If it was anything like the Ladybug game, I was all in!

We're taking off!!!

I was a little nervous about this helicopter game... but I trust my Uncle Bryce. Whenever we're together, we play. Mom says he's her OLDER brother... but that he acts like a little kid like me most of the time. And that's why we get along really well.

Wow, my toys look small from up here...

... all of a sudden Cookie Monster and Grover looked tiny.

Wheee!!!!

I love this flying thing. It's like when I was ladybug for Halloween.

What do you mean Uncle Bryce isn't allowed to babysit?!

I thought playing helicopter was a lot of fun.

Mom said that overalls are not to be used in that way. I think Uncle Bryce and I will play this game when Mom isn't looking. She says she has eyes in the back of her head... but wouldn't that make her kind of like an alien? And how does she see with all that hair in the way?

I like playing bongos on Dad's head...

... it gives me something to do when I'm bored with my toys.

This is the last hat I'm putting on my head...

.. cause I don't like them. I said it before, they make my little head itch. I think we all know now that it was My Very First Christmas.

It was a lot of fun. Didn't see Santa on Christmas Eve. Bummed about that. But I did get Osh Kosh B'Gosh. And a stuffed Grover and a stuffed Cookie Monster.

Cookie! Cookie! Cookie!

I can explain this one...

You see, lately I've been really trying to walk like everyone else. You all are on two legs, and I'm not. And I don't like it. So, I've been crawling around a lot so I can build up those muscles, and sometimes I pull myself up while I'm in my crib. But sometimes... I get really tired of crawling around. And then I stop right where I am and take a brief nap. With my butt in the air. Fuzzy Face and Pretty Lady thought this was funny and took a picture.

This walking thing is a lot harder than I thought.

Bath time isn't so bad anymore...

I actually kind of like it.

Artsy shot of me...

Pretty Lady thought it would be a good idea for me to do the cute, black and white, pacifier kind of picture you see in Pottery Barn picture frames. I usually don't use binkies, except when I'm teething really badly. Usually, I just spit it out. I've been doing that since Day 1. Kind of drove the nurses crazy at the hospital. I just not a binky fan. But I'm a professional. Here's my pacifier picture.

I had a great time in Savannah...

... with my Sergeant Uncle Eric. We went to the Mighty Eighth Museum and I learned about World War II. It was a long, long, long time ago. And I saw some old pictures, and learned about pilots who flew during the war. War doesn't sound like a lot of fun. It looked really dangerous. I don't really understand this "war" stuff. I'm a kid. I'd rather play with my new ball popper that I got for Christmas. And watch Sesame Street. I really like Sesame Street.
