I know it's cold outside...

... but is this really necessary?

I can't put my arms down.

Vote!

I would... if I was old enough. But I'm not. So I can't.

And that's a bummer.

My views on shoes....

I know some babies LOVE their new shoes. But I sorta like them, and I sorta don't. I like having one on my left foot, but not on my right. So, when I have a chance and Mom and Dad aren't looking, I take my right shoe off (it has velcro) and then I whip off my sock.

I've noticed Mom and Dad get a little annoyed when I do this. One day, I really didn't need that right shoe and I was sitting in my car seat while Daddy was driving. I just threw it. I didn't mean for it to go over the front car seat and hit the windshield, it just sorta happened that way. It surprised Daddy a bit.

Anyway, eventually Mommy and Daddy are going to get me more shoes. And I'll need a place to put them. I thought this was pretty cool. I particularly like those pink Converse sneakers on the left. But the storage would be nice because sometimes I hide my shoes from Mom and Dad. In different rooms. It makes mornings more interesting.

Here's the review from Thingamababy.com. It's a blog by a daddy who is a lot like my Daddy

It's Monday!!!!

For some reason, Mommy hates Mondays. She says it's because she has to go to work and the weekend isn't long enough. I think Mondays are awesome! I get to ride around with Daddy, help him with a few appraisals, say hello to everyone in the office, and sometimes we even see the pretty waitress ladies at Bob Evans with Nana and Poppy. I wish Mommy could hang with us on Mondays, but she has to go to D.C.

So, I'm posting this picture of me and my Grateful Dead onesie so she can look at it whenever she wants. I hope it makes you smile too. I like it when people smile.

Mom hates doing laundry...

...so I try to help when I can. We sit and jabber away. I hold the hangers and hand them to her when she needs them. We have a lot of laundry to do between me and her and Dad. At least my clothes are on the smaller side. Daddy's sweatshirts are humongous! You could fit ten of me in there!

COOKIE! COOKIE! COOKIE!

Cookie Monster was on NPR!!! Cookie answered a lot of "Proust" questions (whatever those are.)

My favorite word: Mama or dada
My least favorite word: Bedtime!
Favorite sound: Crunchy noises
Least Favorite sound: The vacuum cleaner
Favorite curse word: What are those? Are the those the words Mommy tells Daddy not to say, and then says them accidentally? That happens a lot.
Who I want to see on a new banknote: Uncle Bryce or Uncle Eric... just because I don't get to see them in person a lot and it would be funny to see them on money. Or maybe Elmo.
What profession other than your own would you want to try? I like being a professional kid. I don't want to be anything else.
If I was reincarnated as another plant or animal: An elephant, 'cause they have really big ears and a long nose. Or maybe a ladybug, 'cause they can fly.
If heaven exists, what would you want God to say when you reach the pearly gates? SADIE!, welcome, I always knew you would make it to your 100th birthday!!!

I don't know if I mentioned this...

But now that I'm pulling myself up... you people are tall. I mean, I know I'm a baby kid, and that I'm little. But really, you are REALLY tall. I hope Mom and Dad get a dog... then I'll feel like the big one around.

I can't help myself...
HOW'S THE WEATHER UP THERE????? It must be cold with all that atmospheric pressure.

Yeah, I read. Science is fun.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Love,
Me and my Daddy

I'm a maniac, maniac on the floor....

... and I'm dancin' like I've never danced before. Okay, I'm not dancing yet, but I'm crawling around A LOT. So, I nudged Mommy while she was online shopping and pointed to these baby leg warmers. I'm tired of getting rug burn, and quite frankly, it's been chilly here in Maryland. But I'm torn between the really awesome pirate pink skulls ones, or the neapolitan ones... which look really yummy. They are now available at Target.com or you can look at all of them here at their website for BabyLegs... hey, they've got argyle! I like argyle.

Sam Woods (Tiger's Baby Kid) wore this on T.V.

... and now I want one from Sassy Onesies. Dad says that I'll like golf when I have a chance to try it out. He said that he hopes that I'll take after him instead of Uncle Bryce and Uncle Eric. Sometimes they hit houses when they golf.

Anyway, Sam Woods will probably have the best pink golf clubs... I think she's one to watch.

My Mama's for Obama!

I can't vote for another 17 years or so. They don't let babies have the vote... yet. But Dad keeps bugging Mom about who she's going to vote for tonight. The thing is, when they were registering to vote, Dad signed up to be a Republican. Then Mom signed up to be a Democrat in case she needed to cancel out his vote.

I'm an Independent.

Anyway, Dad wanted to know who she was going to vote for, which really isn't anybody's business. But the more she thought about it (and we talked about it a lot while she was trying to put me to bed) the more she kinda liked Obama. But then she felt bad 'cause she wants me to know that if I wanna be President of the United States someday, that I can do that.
So, she made it really clear that even though she's voting for Obama... she hopes there's a woman in the White House someday.

Oh, and you can get that infant t-shirt here.

Have I mentioned this walking this is hard?

Well... it is.

I'm really good at pulling myself up, and I can crawl around the house like it's a marathon! Mom and Dad are always grabbing me when I'm about to go somewhere I'm not supposed to go. I think they just want to keep an eye on me. But I like this independence thing. I just don't like the rug burns on my knees when I'm only wearing a onesie.

This is me and my ball...

That's it. Just me and my ball.

Sometimes Dad acts REALLY goofy...

... and I look at him like this. Especially when he sings. He definitely gets my attention.

YOU'VE BEEN SADIEBUGGED!!!!

I couldn't help myself! It seems like everyone has the winter blues, but I'm new here and I think winter is kinda cool. Get it? COOL? Ha! I crack myself up.

So I'm sending a big, big smile to everyone.

I try to be a trendsetter...

I've got a thing with socks... I have my Mary Jane socks, my Sneaker socks and my Golfing socks. But usually, I like having only one sock on at a time. It's fun pulling one of them off and hiding it from Mom.

Hey... I just noticed they have Argyle socks! Awesome!

Oh, and I know my hair looks really red in this picture. Sometimes it's blondish, sometimes it's red. I think it was the lighting that made it look this red. And I'm also aware I still don't have a lot of hair yet. But it's just so you can pay attention to my blue marble-like eyes. Winky winky!

My future husband...

... he's kinda cute. Don't ya think?

Except for that whole Patriots thing... but I can live with that. Maybe he can change teams and play for the Ravens.

There's nothin' I like more...

... than curling up in my car seat with a nice cold bottle and a book. Yep, I like my bottles cold... unlike most babies who like theirs warm. It just never appealed to me. And yeah, I may be too big for my car seat to be used in a car, but I like sitting in it and rocking back and forth.

Apparently, I'm such the little bookworm that my first Sadie word to be translated into Mommy and Daddy English is the word "BOOK". I'm having a little trouble with the "k" sound, but when they give me a book... it comes out "Boooh." I'm workin' on it.

My favorites are "Animal Sounds", "Colors", any of the books that let me touch stuff, and I loooove Curious George. He's a funny monkey. The books have helped me work through this difficult teething time. My seventh tooth just arrived, and boy, it hurts!

When Mom and Dad went to New York City...

Mom took this picture of a sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art.

To be honest, I think it looks like something out of one of my Dr. Seuss books. But that's just me.

Abby Cadabby is cool...

This is one of my favorite outfits. But I keep growing out of my clothes. If it weren't for overalls, I'd probably just run around in my diaper.
