WATER FIGHT!!!!

Once Upon a Time, my Mommy and Daddy got this little pool for me that sprays water for those "really hot days". They are also known as the "Sadie-has-too-much-energy-and-can't-stay-in-the-house" days. That's how I heard it.
At first, I wasn't so sure about this "sprinkler" action. The water was straight from the hose and was a little cold. This wasn't like having a bath. Not even close.

Then I thought, "Well, it's water. I'll just drink some of it." But that got messy. I started to get really wet.

And I thought, "I'll just start running through the sprinklers. Then it will just cool me off just a little bit." The water was juuuuuust right.

By that time I was really, really wet. But I needed to catch my breath. I was pondering my next move. Maybe I would go in my castle and play with my dolls for a bit. Maybe cook up a little snack in my kitchen.

But, NO! Then the big Daddy Monster came up behind me and started chasing me!!!

That Daddy Monster does a lot of crazy things like that. He shows up at the most unexpected moments!

Eventually it was a full-on water fight with cups and lots of cold water. And the Daddy Monster didn't have a magical bathing suit on like I did. (Isn't mine cute? Mommy got it at Target.) So I defeated the Daddy Monster until he retreated into the castle to dry off.

And I lived happily ever after...

Moral of the Story: Water Fights are Awesome!

Check this out!

I was interviewed with my mommy for this nice lady's site: I've Changed My Name to Mommy. She highlights different blogs every Friday, and we got picked! It was fun and she asked some interesting questions. Mommy and I love to talk a lot. We have lots of conversations about different things like bananas, Elmo, shoes, Alex Trebek, swimming, and whether or not I should take a bath.

You can see the interview here:

When Nainie and Grampa visited around 4th of July....

We went down to Washington, DC to see the Folklife Festival. I took my water bottle because it gets really, really hot on the National Mall.
Then we got on the Metro. I stayed in my stroller, but all that starting and stopping was kind of fun. Apparently, kids in other places don't have a Metro. That's too bad, 'cause I think they are fun, and you meet interesting people along the way.

When we got to the Folklife Festival, one of the groups they were highlighting were the Welsh. Nainie is Welsh, so she was really excited to see the exhibit. We sat and listened to this guy who is storyteller. He told a story about two brothers, a devil, and some really weird magic. It was a long story, but it was a really good one about why the ocean has salty water. I haven't been to the ocean yet, but Mommy said if I jump in and swim for a bit, I'll taste like a peanut.

But the storyteller talked funny. Apparently the Welsh do that.

How I spent my 4th of July...

I'm still waiting for Daddy to upload some photos. But I had a great 4th of July! I went to Gettysburg with Grampa and Nainie the week before the 4th, and then on 4th of July weekend I ran around outside with my toddler pool / sprinkler. I got to wear my new bathing suit and everything! I was pretty wiped out after all of that, but I stayed up just for this:

And then all my favorite Muppets started singing! It was awesome.

I like singing. It's fun. And I love Rosita. She's blue and speaks Spanish. And her Daddy is in the military just like my Uncle Eric.

Oops.

I've been a bit on the clumsy side lately. Nobody wants to give me expensive things because I have a tendency to throw them, drop them, and play with them a bit too hard.

I'm really just a curious kid. Then I found this website... and realized my clumsiness goes into the virtual world too. Click on the site, and look at the onesie... and wait a few moments. My clumsiness will astound you! *sigh* All I wanted to do was a little online shopping.

P.S. Sorry I busted your camera, Mommy. I'm sure we can get the lens fixed. It just seemed like a cool thing to throw across the bookstore when we were meeting the Phelps family. My bad.
