Music Break!

I've been listening to "Tall" by Milkshake a lot lately. But sometimes you need to find new tunes. So, I'm giving this one a try. It's from Barefoot Books. And I like the song's jazzy feel.

I'm a Recess Monkey Groupie

I don't know how this lucky kid got the Seattle band Recess Monkey to play his birthday party, but this would be awesome! This is the band singing Birthday Bite. They sing a lot of cool songs that don't make my Mommy question what happened to children's music. Here's more of their stuff on their website.

I like their song "Pandas" too. They eat bamboo. 40 pounds a day actually. They also have great tunes like "The Pool" and "I Got a Toy (But I Played with the Box.)"

By the way, in case you missed my subtle hint... my 3rd birthday is coming up on MARCH 27th!

Music Break!!!

I'm tall for my age. Every time I go to see Doctor Sherri, she says, "Yep, she's still in the 95th percentile." That means I'm taller than 95% of the other kids my age. Everyone says I should be a supermodel or a basketball player when I grow up. I wish I knew what I was doing to make myself so tall. Maybe it's the applesauce. Or the mac and cheese. I love mac and cheese.

But even though I'm really tall for my age... I'm still smaller than everyone else. So I have to hold Daddy's hand in the parking lot. I still need a highchair. And everyone expects for me to act like a big, bad 3 year old when I'm not even 2! It can be tough being small. My New Year's resolution is to just be me. I'm good at that. Oh, and this is the band Milkshake. You can find other cool tunes on Jitterbug: Music for Hip Kids.

Still not sleeping well...

... and Daddy doesn't sing like Andrea Bocelli. *sigh* I'm going to give this video a try. I hope this helps me sleep tonight.

Mommy needs a break....

So I'm putting this mellow music video on the blog so she can watch it and chill out whenever she wants. It's my Mommy Day gift to her. And I'll try to play quietly with my blocks for awhile.
Oh.. and the singer is David Tobocman, and this is from his first CD , "I Count to Ten" and Other Very Helpful Songs. The artwork is by a lady named Valerie Walsh, and you can see more of her art here.
